Whether you are new to wine tasting or a longtime expert, the Oregon Wine University® classes and engaging instructors are sure to lead you to be a more astute wine lover.

Cooking with Wine

“I like to cook with wine…sometimes, I even put it in the meal!”

Join us as Lisa Sherrill, a Culinary Institute of America at Hyde Park trained Chef and Co-Chair of the Oregon Wine University takes us behind the scenes at SOU. Come learn about the many ways that wine can be incorporated with a meal and simple techniques to take flavors to a whole new level. Due to the hands-on nature of this class, students should come prepared to slice, dice, cook, eat and drink. Only 14 seats are available for this intimate class.

Bordeaux & Budbreak

Join us at the start of the growing season, as the vines are just waking from their winter slumber. Come explore the various traits of the five classic Bordeaux varieties at different sites and taste the expressions of these grapes grown in different soils and conditions. Explore with us the similarities and differences between the two regions and how we can learn from their storied 2,000 years of experience making world-class wine.

Explore the subtler art of making the tasting of rosé. Learn the difference between intentional and saignée winemaking, and create a blend tailored to your unique palate. Hosted in the Stardust Lounge of the Ashland Hills Hotel with light hors d’oeuvres, this is the perfect event to enjoy with mom and all the wine-lovers in your life.

Release your inner artist as you sip amazing wines in the spectacular setting of Belle Fiore Winery & Estate Vineyard. Tia McKenzie will guide your artistic flair to capture the gorgeous surroundings. No art experience necessary and each student will take home their masterpiece.
