Owner and winemaker Felix Madrid, Argentine born and UC Davis trained,  first planted the Carlton Estate Vineyard of Carlo & Julian in 1991.  Named after the owner’s twin sons, the winery produces about 1,000 cases each year of artisanal Pinot Noir and Tempranillo from six acres.  The wine is minimally handled and unfiltered.  A new planting in the Ribbon Ridge AVA will allow a 2018 Estate wine from that AVA to be produced. The tasting room is located at the winery and is open on Saturdays and Sundays; most weekends you’ll find the winemaker pouring wines.
